It is the last week of February and the first week of March. Another week to demonstrate that the year is progressing towards your health goals and you are on track with your intentions.
For food this week, take a different approach to choosing what you will eat.
Instead of using a meal planner, or straining your mind to come up with a fresh idea, or even asking others what they want to eat (if that is what you are typically likely to do), sit down quietly for a moment, and invite yourself to feel what it is that you are craving.
When you are in touch and have an image, imagine the sensation of eating the meal you are imagining. Feel the taste in your mouth. Smell the aromas of the meal. Imagine touching it with your hands and putting it into your mouth. And feel the taste and the warmth or coolness of the food on your tongue.
This is how you will detect what you are craving, and what your body is asking for.
If it feels good then make plans to make this meal as best as you can, using the ingredients you have, or take a quick visit to the market or farmer’s stall to pick up what you don’t have that you need.
This may be a new experience for you and something that you enjoy and want to continue with in future, which is great. Instinct guiding your food choices is a great way to nourish your body and become present in your senses in your busy life.
You will likely find that your family and children will enjoy the meal as well. Being that it is something you are investing your full awareness and intention into, it will no doubt taste perfect to both yourself and to them.
Let love be your compass.
